Into the Midnight Sun
The story starts out with ten year old Bryan Stephens staying with his grandparents for the summer, prior to traveling with his family to live in Lillehammer, Norway for two years. Everything is pretty tranquil and near-perfect in southern Illinois on his grandparents’ farm. When the family arrives in Norway, the real world starts to creep in with Russian spies and the ongoing Cold War struggle between the two Superpowers of the world (United States and the Soviet Union). Bryan along with his family is caught right in the middle of the tension between the two nations. The tension mounts as Bryan must save his mother along with himself from certain death.

Sara, the mother, has found a way through faith to communicate with her son. This becomes disturbing for both her husband and their close-knit community. She finds a way with the help of her son to comfort the concerns of everyone.
